ljpp MCC 03RG20 DVD-R PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-112 (firmware 1.22) 9x LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1653S 4x http://www.tuffdisc.com Have you ever seen a 8x media fly like this one at 16x? Tuffdisc media is "B-grade media from A-grade manufacturers", re-labeled as Tuffdisc. In this case the Tuffdisc media is actually a Verbatim / Mitsubishi Chemicals originated disc with the identified MCC 03RG20. The Pioneer chooses the maximum speed recording (18x) for this media, but as the graphs shows, the disc can' t handle the top speed, and the recording speed stalls. As always with Tuffdisc, the manufacturer and quality of the disc varies a lot. I have a lot of experience with them, and I have learned to trust them as a decent B-grade media. Perhaps not for the critical data or backing up console games, but usually works very well movies and data.
