Therefore it is interesting to see budget brands on the Dual Layer market as well, in hopes of reduced pricing. One of the cheaper alternatives is Tuffdisc, which is famous for sellin B-grade media by well known manufacturers, but relabeled as Tuffdisc. The results of this 8.5GB disc leave a bit to be desired. The first half gives a typical performance of the RITEK D01 dye, which is not the best on the market. At layer break there is an increase in PIF, and later highly increased PIE. This disc is most likely fully playable, but clearly a B-grade Ritek. Pure data:
